It amazes me still how desperate people are and it’s really quit obvious on marketing forums.

Some people get it into their heads that they’re going to be an SEO service provider, but you’ll see them asking questions about SEO even though they provide a service that you would naturally think they’d know about in the first place since they’re touting their SEO services.

Sometimes you’ll see people plugging their own products in their forum signature files selling a product that promises you can “make an automatic 350/day with PCC here” but are asking other marketers how to make merely $50.00/day.

Many of these beginners are just plain stupid and do not realize that marketing is all about presentation, so if you want people to think you’re an expert on these forums, don’t ask questions or involve yourself in discussions that betray your ingorance, since it presents you as an ignoramus, not an expert.

On the other hand Marketing forums are good for doing research for certain types of marketing roducts to create tailored for them based on what the conversation is…

The downside to that is that people on marketing forums are more tuned in to the work required to make a business grow, so selling an ebook on article marketing at a forum will convert better than to a general mailing list ( good and bad thing)

Some people on the general mailing list are not really happy about doing the grunt work involved with article marketing but when other marketers see people talking about its effectiveness on marketing forums, the public opinion could persuade people into doing it more.
