How can you tell if you’re going to succeed with your home business?
At some point this question has occurred to all of us and it’s an honest question to ask…
There’s no secret method or test to determine if you were meant to succeed with your home business because success is really a mindset thing, it really and truly is…
Again, success is a mindset thing to overcome or come to grips with, not a technical issue, not learning how to build sites, pages, learning how certain online tools work etc…
All of those things involve working the mechanics and instruments of an online business.
Think of your business as a ship sailing through the internet without direction or focus, just sailing around aimlessly… You could be the best sailor/site-builder/internet mechanic ever but if the captain of the ship doesn’t have a clue, the ship runs out of steam, gas, oil whatever… and ends up nowhere.
Do you know any millionaire mechanics or nurses or construction workers? Nothing against any of those professions, I’ve dated nurses and worked construction (Local 22) for years….
Well, if you do know of any that are millionaires, they are either superstars with cable TV shows or own their own businesses.
My point here is that you shouldn’t get too caught up with the technical/sailor/mechanical aspects of your business because that means you’re not thinking like a business owner, and are still using the employee mindset of sweating the small stuff.

What’s the tough stuff to be sweating over?
The toughest thing and most valuable thing you can do for your business is think about your business’ direction, goals, mission statement, plans, ROI, expansion, positioning etc…
Worrying about how to build a lens, hub pages, blog etc… is really something you shouldn’t worry too much about, and something you should only need to worry about once.
If you find yourself constantly struggling with technical issues when marketing is purely a people-first business, you’re going to fail because you’re not worrying or focussing on the right things…
As a business owner you can hire someone to do the technical stuff for you and you can also pay to have sites and pages built. The reason why the service industry for online marketing is so good is because a lot of people need the services of article writiers, script installers, blog builders etc….
The reason why we try to do everything ourselves is that many of us are still stuck with the sole proprietorship/employee mindset trap, and do not have the CEO mindset yet
