October 9th, 2008
Jonathan Leger recently released a new linkbuilding service called 1waylinks.net and I’m comparing how it works versus the LinkVana linking service.

Here’s how 1WayLinks.net works and how you should use it.

It’s a blog network that hosts your blog posts for you.

This means you get your content syndicated across hundreds of blogs (over 800 in the network at the time of this writing).

The syndication of your content provides you with backlinks to your sites because each post you submit for syndication can have up to 3 links in there.

When you submit your posts for syndication they will have 3 links in there serving as backlinks to your specified sites.

You can get over 200 backlinks per month per account and you have the ability to use an article spinner to make sure you’re not syndicating 100% duplicate content to this network of blogs.

You will need to have an active WordPress blog with WordPress 2.6 on it.

How does 1WayLinks.net differ from LinkVana?

Linkvana costs a lot more and can be more time-consuming for you if you decide to write all your blog posts yourself.

You do not get 1 blog post spread out over 200 other blogs automatically with LinkVana, but the upside to LinkVana over 1wayLinks is that the links you get from LinkVana are more powerful, so less links are needed to achieve your goals for rankings.

I use both of these services so I have tested them out sufficently to know that LinkVana’s links are more powerful, plain and simple.

1WayLinks.net uses the “power” of getting massive amounts of links in a short amount of time to help you with your rankings.

BEWARE of the FACT that getting a lot of links to a site all of a sudden will not do your site too much good.

For a new site, it’s best to use LinkVana to get it going properly.

For existing, aged, sites, you can use 1WayLinks.net to increase the number of your backlinks more efficiently.

I spoke to Dave Kelley from LinkVana recently and the conversation was pretty enlightening to me.

I’ve also watched Jonathan Leger come out with some pretty good SEO products in the last year or so, too.

Dave runs LinkVana and has 8+ years experience as an SEO (AKA search engine optimization guy)

Jonathan Leger is also a well known SEO guy, too, but there are those who look down their nose at him despite the success of his many products, like 3 waylinks.net and the $7 script (which he sold off to another marketer)

What does LinkVana do?

LinkVana builds links to as many sites as you want at whatever pace you want ( up to 1 link/day)

LinkVana itself is a network of blogs that place posts you create ( or outsource for $2.00) on the network of blogs they have.

These blogs have a lot of link juice since they have decent PageRank and more incoming links than outgoing links.

Jonathan Leger’s 1waylinks.net program is similar in that it is also a network of blogs, but it allows for duplicate content to be placed on the network of blog sites acting as backlink posters to whatever links you desire.

With 1waylinks.net, you can get an incredible amount of links (hundreds) per month up to 3 sites or more, all depending on how you want to go about your linkbuilding campaign.

The difference between the 2 services and some information about linkbuilding you won’t read in too many places:

Not all links are created equal. A link from 100 sites that do not have much linkjuice isn’t worth the same, SEO-wise and rankings-wise as a link from one site, properly placed, as unique content, from a site with plenty of link juice and PageRank.

That’s the difference between Linkvana and 1waylinks.net.

You get a lot of links from dupe content from 1waylinks.net which I <del datetime="2009-03-24T18:11:37+00:00">am</del>/WAS a member of, and you also get a whole lot of links at once in a very short period of time, too.

That’s not necessarily a good thing because Google knows how old your site is…

Google knows how many links you’ve accrued over the lifespan of your site

Google can easily figure out the average number of links your site gets per month so when it sees your 2 year old site with 5 links go from 5 links to 175 links by the next month, it discounts and does not credit you for many of those links right away.

Over time you may get credit for some of those mass-gained links but usually you don’t get credit for all of them and the links themseleves will be sandboxed/not credited while some others will stick.

You want links that stick.

You want links that apply towards your site’s and site url SERPs.
